Samantha’s focus is not only on the technical aspect of cello playing, and practice strategies, but how to make the music come alive. She believes in using an approach which helps students understand how to let their bodies work for them, not against, in a way which produces a full, rich tone with no strain. Understanding that not everyone learns the same way, she strives to discover each individual student’s learning style and present materials in a way that makes sense to each student. Samantha is registered as a Suzuki teacher for books 1-3 and teaches using both Suzuki and traditional methods. Her studio is located in Alexandria.
